Life gets in the way of living. This saying seems to be a fact of life that we are supposed to just accept. Who has the time to be the person they want to be, to do they things they want to do, to feel the way they want to feel? We all make new years resolutions that last a week, buy class passes that go unused, and continue to idealize the thin, happy, people on Instagram who are doing things.
We are constantly organizing and re-organizing our life. We schedule meetings, plan for lunch, take vacations, and meet up with friends; yet we fail to plan for living. We forget to pause for joy, refuel our tanks, and connect to our bodies.
Rituals make living possible. They embed small habits into our day that give us the foundation to live the lives we want. A morning meditation starts our day with clarity and focus. Simple movement melds our bodies into ones we love. Everyday gratitude allows us to appreciate life. These little rituals, when done daily, grow into qualities of yourself that allow you to finally show up and live life with intention.
